Kitsune's role in the Mechanical War
Kitsune dodged a streak of light that struck a tree behind him, ignoring the burst of flame that ensued. The skeletal tree frame fell blazing and crackling backwards, hissing in the stagnant swamp water. The stale air was filled with the shouts of man and machine as they fought fiercely against one another.
Kitsune dashed from one rock to the next, sending a spray of electricity bursting from his pistol with each shot fired. Finding shelter behind a dirt overhang, he was given time enough to deactivate his pistol, lock a Charge Sword to his wrist, and return to battle while flailing the weapon around his head. Round after round of enemy fire skimmed off the sword blade, and with a sweep of his arm, he crumpled a row of Mechanicals into scrap metal. With a thrust of his right arm he dismembered an advancing set of machines, and with his left he tugged the bombs from the hearts of the last set. He batted them into enemy lines, ducking as shreds of metal whizzed above his head.
